SIX YEARS AGO, I STOOD UP AT A DEMOCRATIC PICNIC IN CONCORD AND MADE MY CASE FOR BANNING BIG MONEY FROM POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS.

Then, a real-live politician got up and made the case again. Only he was arguing against his own self-interest and had decades of experience fighting for democracy under his belt. His name was Bernie Sanders.

From the moment I first heard Bernie's booming voice at that picnic in 2010 to his call for Democratic unity behind Hillary Clinton today, I have believed in the "political revolution" to put people first in politics. When I lobbied Congress for citizen-funded elections, Bernie was our first cosponsor. When I organized the NH Rebellion to #FightBigMoney during the presidential primary, Bernie and Hillary both were passionate proponents of ending Citizens United and passing real reform.

Never has a presidential candidate "walked the talk" for democracy quite like he. And never has there been a more experienced Democratic nominee than she.

Although Bernie's campaign may be over, the cause has just begun. Across the country, hundreds of candidates are heeding his call and running for state and local office to continue the political revolution. I'm proud to be in the mix.

Would you help me build a Bernie-style campaign by volunteering or pitching in $10 or $25 today?
